Relations between Cátedra China and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreigners

The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC, in its acronym in English; https://cpaffc.org.cn) is a Chinese state institution, which since the mid-twentieth century “promotes relations between China and the The rest of the countries of the world, with the objective of achieving a better world through international cooperation, an instrument that best provides the understanding of the different families that make up the only human race ”in his own words.

To promote this cooperation, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries facilitates the creation of associations in other countries that share this objective and offers its more than 270 headquarters in China to establish a system of friendly relations in all facets of human life, such as science, art, technology, culture, leisure, sports, tourism or business.

In July 2019, in Beijing, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries encouraged Mr. Diego Serrano (businessman with more than 20 years of experience in China) to establish a young and dynamic association in Spain that favors the Cultural and economic exchange between both countries. In September of the same year, the Association of Friendship of the Chinese People Spain-AACHE- (https://www.AAChE.net) was established, which was immediately officially recognized by the Chinese government through the CPAFFC.

This association was born as a plural entity both from the ideological and disciplinary point of view, whose honor committee includes personalities from the world of politics and business, such as D. José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, D. Miguel Sebastián, D. Josep María Sánchez Llibre or Mr. Julio Rodríguez Lage.

The purpose of the association is to promote, promote, advise and carry out exchanges between the Kingdom of Spain and China, in all areas of social, cultural and economic life in both countries, promoting all those actions that may contribute to the development of a better relationship between both countries. Due to the coincidence of interests, in July members of the board of directors of Cátedra China and AAChe met with the aim of signing a collaboration agreement for the development and execution of joint actions, given the complementarity of both associations in their aims.

Since 2019, the AAChE has coordinated the participation of Spanish representatives in global impact events held in China, such as the “ZGC Forum Annual Conference” in 2019 in Beijing and the “International Health and Environment Forum” held in 2020 since Beijing, but in telematic format due to the special conditions of the moment. Given their interest, we briefly explain what they consisted of:

1.- ZGC Forum 2019 Annual Conference, jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China Science and Technology Association and the Beijing City Government , and co-organized by the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park; Beijing from October 16 to 18, 2019.The theme of the forum was "Frontier Technology and Industry of the Future".

AACHE's participation was carried out within the "Intelligence-Health" sub-forum, where it discussed technological development, application scenarios, research hotspots and challenges of the most cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence in the field of medicine. and health. The forum brought together Chinese and foreign government departments, hospitals, diagnostic and therapeutic institutions, scientific research institutes and smart medical technology companies and focused on innovative elements, building a platform to promote the integration of technology and industry, talents and capital, with the aim of maintaining sustainable growth of the smart medical industry around the world. Our participation resulted in the establishment of stable relationships by our representative and the Basque regional government.

2.- International Health and Environment Forum, held since September 9, 2020 at the China International Trade in Services Fair (CIFTIS) and organized by the International Health and Environment Industry Association (IHEIA ), in collaboration with the German Rheinland-Pfalz State Health Economics Association, the Japan Nursing Association and the Russia-China Strategic Cooperation Association.

The theme of the forum focused on health as the basis for the general development of human beings, a driving force for social development and an indicator of social civilization. The environment is the place for human life and production, and it is also the material basis for human survival and development. Particularly important in the post-COVID 19 era, discussing health, the environment, and sustainable development. How to build a harmonious, natural and healthy sustainable ecosystem between human and human, human and city, and between human and nature.

Within the AACHE forum, he achieved the signing of the strategic agreement between the International Health and Environment Industry Association (IHEIA) and the Spanish Digital Health Association in order to promote cooperation between China and Spain in the large industry of health, particularly for specific movements such as the launch of Spanish companies in the Chinese market and the series of joint projects that include the China-Spain Center for Innovation in Medical Health.

The intention of AAChE is to continue with this way of working, extending it to all areas of the economy and society, so that, by establishing stable relationships, either in China or in Spain, knowledge exchanges are generated that favor the sustainable growth in both countries.
